Hi everyone! Wow it has been a minute. Let’s dive right in on why Nutrition is actually not the FULL picture!
This is what I mean when I say The Missing Layer and what this actually looks like in practice.
I’ll break down how we support each, and what each layer is up against so you can actually understand why this matters.
Everything you do really falls into one of three categories: emotional, chemical, or physical.
Emotional
Nervous system, perception, regulation
Meditation, breathwork, prayer, mantras 🧘🏻♀️🌬️🙏🏼
(Family tragedies, family loss, betrayal, job, finances)
Chemical
What’s happening internally
Supplements, nutrition, hormones 🥗💊🧬
(Bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, hangovers, blood sugar levels, chemicals in food)
Physical
What you do with your body
Movement, sleep, consistency 🏃🏻♀️😴✔️
(Accidents, injuries, falls, traumas, poor posture, late nights)
And just to make this simple, nutrition actually touches all three, but its primary role is chemical. Think: Eating IS physical—> What it does IN your body is chemical.
This isn’t new information. A lot of different fields and my favorite thought leaders have touched on this in different ways. This is just how I see it play out in practice.👇🏼
Most people tend to lean heavily into one.
They’ll focus only on meditation and wonder why nothing is changing physically.
Or they clean up their nutrition but still feel constantly on edge.
Or they stay consistent with workouts, but something still isn’t shifting.
And the truth is, we’re usually missing a key piece, and in my field especially, the missing layer is often the emotional piece.
You can only manipulate the body for so long. And yes, it will work to a degree.. because anytime you take out the garbage, the body will respond and you’ll see improvement! 1000%
But what keeps it working long term is that emotional layer. 🧠
My next program will go deeper on all three, not just what we eat. It’s the aTayloredHealth approach, refined. A coming home to a way of finally incorporating all aspects into the work. I’m always training myself to bring you nothing but the best, and after 15 years of studying and living this work, I can say with the utmost confidence that when you’ve got all three, you’ve got the best. 😉
